Opulent Desolation

This blog is about art work I create in my studio or on land situated on a non working re-wilded farm in Eryri / Snowdonia, North Wales. I am influenced by what I describe as 'opulent desolation' - places and objects that appear empty, weathered, or severe, yet are dense with life, memory, and quiet abundance. Opulence is found in wind weathered stones, in rain-darkened surfaces and in growth that happens without permission or witness, desolation becomes a form of generosity.
